I grew up in and have a great affection for Birmingham. Although I have had exhibitions in Scilly and on the continent, this was my first solo exhibition on the UK mainland and I wanted it to be in my home town. Although the majority of the work is of Scilly where I now live, it seemed wrong not to include at least two pictures from Birmingham. These were painted in February 2008 on the road where my mother lives. Here there is a good view of the busy city skyline rising out of the trees of Cannon Hill Park. They are currently for sale at an Art Gallery in Moseley.
