Glandore, Porthloo, St. Marys, Isles of Scilly, Cornwall, TR21 0NE Tel: (01720) 422535

Glandore is an imposing detached house in its own large garden, sheltered by tall pittosporum hedges on the seaward side. Built in the late 1930s of concrete blocks made from fine Pelistry sand, it towers to four storeys - one of the few detached properties of this height on Scilly - which makes it a distinctive landmark. Its cream walls and soft terracotta roof tiles give it a distinctive Mediterranean appearance. The apartments are on the ground, second and third floors while the first floor houses our Gallery/Studio/Shop which sells a range of original artwork, giclee prints, lithograph prints and greetings cards by Stephen Morris and his late aunt, Nan Heath. Glandore Gallery and Apartments also offer Painting Holidays on Scilly.

Porthloo beach is only fifty yards away from the house (looking west for wonderful views of sunset over Samson), the beach path into Hugh Town runs past our gate and Hugh Town itself is only fifteen minutes walk. There is excellent local provision for eating out at the Golf Course or Juliet's Garden just up the hill or Speros restaurant five minutes walk along the beach path. There is no facility for bringing private cars to Scilly but there is the option of hiring a road legal golf cart from the 'Scilly Cart Company' and we have plenty of space for parking and charging your 'Scilly Cart' here at Glandore.
You will find that Glandore Gallery and Apartments offers an ideal base for your holiday on the glorious Isles of Scilly and we look forward to welcoming you to stay with us soon.
