"I do not have to go far to paint my pictures. This was only just down on to the beach and painted in the Spring of 2007. It was one of three I painted here at this time. The others were at low tide at the waters edge, then, as the tide came in I moved onto Newfort Island and back up on to the bank for this at high tide. There is a wide selection of plant life and colour on the bank. I really liked the Tamarisk grown as a windbreak. In the distance is the lifeboat slip and town.
