"Late August 2007 enjoyed much better weather than the early Summer. Porthmellon, a favourite beach for families, was quite busy (for Scilly!) The agapanthus did particularly well. These ubiquitous blue flowers are the abiding memory of anyone coming to the Islands in August. This is a typical scene on Porthmellon looking towards the Lifeboat Slipway with Star Castle in the distance."
