On the morning of Friday 3rd April 2009, we loaded all 31 paintings plus assorted paraphenalia into the boot of our red Saab. They had been gradually accumulating in temporary accommodation (Stephen's mother's wardrobe) at her big house on Moorcroft Road over the previous eighteen months. It's only a short drive from her house to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Glasshouses where we had arranged to meet our friends, Bill and Sue. They live in Castle Bromwich and had been helping and supporting us with the Exhibition from the very beginning. They handled most of the Birmingham arrangements and publicity. |
