Isles of Scilly

When he is painting, Stephen spends 99% of his time out-of doors (en plein air) on the beautiful Isles of Scilly, just thirty miles off Lands End in Cornwall, where we are privileged to live. He has painted here for 36 years now and is approaching 500 paintings. Our studio/shop/gallery, Glandore Gallery, sells his original artwork together with a wide range of giclee prints and greetings cards.

Iceland

We went to Iceland in October/November of 2010 and stayed for nearly four weeks! Even the Icelanders thought we were mad .... Stephen did four ink sketches during our holiday including Þingvellir National Park, Reykjavik and Akureyri.

Charlestown, Cornwall

One of our favourite places in Cornwall - so picturesque. Stephen did several ink sketches here including one of the beautiful and iconic tall ships in the harbour. We enjoy popping in to see Liz and Paul at Atishoo Gallery (they sell some of Stephen's prints) and also treating ourselves to hot chocolates at Charlie's

Venice

We spent four nights in Venice in December 2014 and enjoyed the most glorious winter weather - blue skies, calm, cold and dawn-till-dusk sunshine. Stephen did four ink sketches during our holiday including the Rialto Bridge, San Marco, and St Marks's Square.

Florence

We spent four nights in Florence in December 2015 and had nice weather - sunshine, calm and chilly followed by dry, cloudy and chilly. Stephen did two ink sketches during our holiday including the Ponte alla Carraia.
